“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
What is your biggest need? Peace? Financial? Love? Contentment? Joy?
While I probably needed all those things and more, I couldn’t let go of worry. All the “what ifs” plagued my thoughts. I desperately needed His peace when an answer to prayer brought more worries than praise.
And while most of my concerns could be solved with a financial blessing, I knew in my heart money wasn’t enough. I had to believe the God who provided the answer would also calm the storm in me.
I needed to thank Him for answering my prayers.
The peace that eluded me was found in praising Him.
Sweet friend, whatever you are in need of, can I assure you our God will provide. His presence in our situations is enough.
Jesus knows what we need and is working on our behalf. “… See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you …?” (Matthew 6:28-30 NIV).
Reminder for the heart: God provides for the flowers and He provides for us. We replace our worries when we give Him our praise.
Let’s pause and thank God for our answers, replacing our worries with His praise.
Lord, You are my Provider and worthy of all my praise. Thank You for Your presence that brings peace to my heart. Help me to let go of my worries and give You my praise, thanking You for answering my prayers. In Jesus’ precious Name, Amen.I let go of my worries when I give You my praise.Click To Tweet
